Alistair Overeem Backstage After Duffy Fight - Vid

Radford¼ - wow didnt know Overeem was such a classy dude.

He's actually always been a class act.

Overeem is the man. plain and simple.

This was just minutes after the fight...my main purpose which obviously I didn't really accomplish was to apologize for not giving him a fight...i think i did him, japan, etc. a disservice by coming out there the way I did...I could of made that much more of a fight had I gone out there and done what I am capable of...

for those obsessed with how big overeem is...id have to disagree in person he doesn't look as big and I think we had about approx. a 17lb difference think he was 260 and i was around 243...he is much bigger than me but not as big as he looks on tv...cheick kongo is similiar huge on tv smaller in person.....Sergie Kharitoniv on the other hand is huge looks bigger in person than on tv...and feels much bigger than both me an alistair...I am sure my perspective on size is different than a lot of peoples since I spend most of my mma training in a weight room lol

that fight was like man vs child

Jenny Wishbone - Awesome video. Always great to see two fighters talking like that after a fight. Both showed a lot of class. My respect for both of these guys went up.

Props for stepping in Todd. No matter who you are fighting, with your power you always stand a puncher's chance.

Do you personally think the weights room is where you should be spending all your time..? Isn't it better to supplement fight training with weights and not the other way around..?

Not bashing, just curious of your views. Phone Post

Took some serious stones to step in against that man on short notice.

Nothing to be ashamed of.

sarcasm my friend....i was making fun of all the people that beiieve all I do is lift weights...I realize I look very stupid because big guys obviously don't get the same amount of oxygen or blood to their brains making mental task much more challenging but I am not dumb enough to believe that the weight room is going to win me any fights....I haven't lift alot of weights in the last five months past rehab stuff smallest I've been in many years...

He's always been a class act. He was dropping lots of fights for several years and never got a shitty attitude or big ego.

overeem seems like a good guy and i have to say i'm a huge mma fan but for some reason i just can't be a fan of overeem. he is a tough and athletic but all can think about is that skinny kid in pride getting beat by chuck. maybe if he just focused more on mma IN THE STATES or in anything more in the states. he also reminds me of barry bonds one a minute a normal size and then he turns in to a hulk. i will say he is good for the sport maybe kind-of like homeruns

Good luck on your next fight.

Todd, I read where you posted that you spend your fight training time lifting weights.

I'm just wondering if you have also considered Creatine? It's pretty new.

you don't have to explain yourself to anyone on here.

you took a fight that nobody else would take against one if not THE top guy in the world.

Overeem is the man & could be a star here in the US if they would market him.

Great looks & build
Very cool demeanor
Well spoken & seems intelligent
Honest
& a Gnarly asswhuppin machine

I have a feeling we'll see Fedor vs Overeem in the near future.

Question for Todd, if he is still watching this thread;

Did anything surprise you about Overeem during the fight? ie quickness, strength, how hard he hits?

Always interesting watching you fight; you've clearly got a bright future ahead of you.

Overeem is huge

Just became a bigger fan of the Reem... i still dont understand the hate

but wtf was he saying in the end
