While it makes for good video a ref should be able to control the action without fighting the competitors himself.

That was outstanding. That guy decided to make his disagreement with the ref physical. The ref was totally justified in putting a stop to that. His ONLY mistake was in that he didn't notice the other guy moving in until after he took the shot, but he was still pretty fast.
Plus it was a beautiful slam.
That was pure awesomeness
What made the clip perfect was the other fighter sneaking in for the cheap shot after the choke slam.
That was probably the fucking coolest shit all week. He rock bottomed that asshole, then the guys jumps in he pushes him back by his face and calmly waves him off before challenging to curb stomp the other dipshit he super threw.
