The only thing Hendo is sitting on his couch thinking about, is how Bisping never came close hurting him.
Yet Hendo almost killed Bisping in every meaningful exchange they had.
Deep down, Bisping isn’t ever going to forget that.
Hendo was like his kryptonite.
It would seem more likely for Hendo to be salty towards the judges for robbing him.
Hendo should have never got that title shot anyway.
How do you figure?
Throughout the entire history of MMA, fighters have been given title shots based on past achievement.
Hendo had one of the greatest and most successful careers in MMA history.
Not only that, the UFC screwed him out of a couple title shots back in the day to protect their poster boys.
Hendo not only should have gotten the shot – he should have gotten the decision too.
Who was protected from Hendo? Hendo did have an awesome career. He had some big knockouts.
Anderson and Jones.
Anderson already beat him and lol at Hendo having any shot against Jones. Come on.
It’s not about him being favored or not.
It’s about what actually happened.
Hendo arguably won the first round against Anderson, before making the mistake of playing into his hands.
Hendo is a better wrestler than Chael, and much harder to submit.
Hendo with the right gameplan, could have very well beat Anderson.
He clearly and obviously deserved the rematch.
Jones would out MMA Hendo, and rightfully be favored.
But Hendo’s H-Bomb is a different and more unpredictable weapon than guys like Rampage, Vitor, Shogun, or Machida had.
Hendo’s H-Bomb off a break was a very real threat to anyone he fought – Jones included.
Dana understood the danger, and gave Hendo back-to-back 3 round fights with Rashad and Machida – knowing that Hendo was likely to lose close decisions in 3 round fights to faster fighters – who would do everything they could to avoid actually fighting Hendo.
Zuffa/Dana UFC did shit like that all the time.
It’s common knowledge.
Jones would out MMA Hendo, and rightfully be favored.
But Hendo’s H-Bomb is a different and more unpredictable weapon than guys like Rampage, Vitor, Shogun, or Machida had.
Hendo’s H-Bomb off a break was a very real threat to anyone he fought – Jones included.?
Yes correct. He did have a punchers chane. Outside of that he had nothing for Jones.
Dana understood the danger, and gave Hendo back-to-back 3 round fights with Rashad and Machida -- knowing that Hendo was likely to lose close decisions in 3 round fights to faster fighters -- who would do everything they could to avoid actually fighting Hendo.
My take on this is. Dana gave him the opportunity to beat the top guys. Hendo couldn’t do it. Therefore, no title shot. Machida and Evans are two totally different animals. They both beat Dan.
