any working breed dog has to be WORKED properly, it's like all the people that get Huskies because they saw some stupid sled dog movie and "they're so cute" that end up in rescue leauges becase people are too lazy to work them
That's cool that it got along with cats. I think if you socialize them at a young age they can get used to anything.
Yeah, he actually had puppies with another dog and a good friend of mine got one of the puppies and it's the nicest dog you'll ever met.

Is it a Kangol or Caucasian Ovtcharka?Two awesome dogs used for fighting in the middle east.I agree about breeds becoming popular and being ruined.The AKC is shit.Look at what they do to even Labrador retrievers.I have seen ADBA registered hunting labs with about as much muscularity and athleticism as an APBT then an AKC registered showdog that is nice and shiny but seemingly way less intelligent ,wont retrieve anything,and has no muscle tone.I hate breeding for comformity.Pits bad reputation has saved them in some ways although there are ignorant people who breed then for looks(big heads,color etc) it's not done on as big a scale because they aren't accepted by the AKC (no Staffies are not the same thing)

Dog de Bordeaux are great, but their generally have very bad joints, especially hips. Most of them have D-class hips.

Where I live we also use them to guard farm animals against wolfs. They do the trick for sure. These hairy muscle balls are extremely aggressive dogs if they see someone/something as a threath.
Few weeks ago there was a incident between a dogo argentino and a caucasian. Caucasian broke dogo's neck like toothpick.
leonberger. superchill and very smart. huge! known for being a very calm dog but was also the gaurd dog of royalty for a while. my god son can poke him in the eyes if he wants too, and that dog just gets it, that its a little kid. known for that too.
he barks maybe twice a month, and when he does he is usually right, something really is goin on.

They are most certainly used for fighting in the middle east.Especially Kangols, I know not originally bred for it like APBTs but it is pretty big in Pakistan.Normally though they fight until one over powers the other then one of the dogs usually stops or the owners stop it.Not the test of gameness that pitmen put their dogs through.

presas are very impressive dogs who i believe were used in the Canary Islands as butchers/ farmers dogs. they have a rep here in the states as being mainly a manstopper.
Ovtcharkas and Central Asian Shepards are def fought somewhere, theres a short documentary about it somewhere on youtube or Google vids. I'll see if i can find it.
