Dana White definitively states Rousey's first fight back will be for title,

Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is expected to return to the Octagon late this year. The target is sometime around November or December. We don’t exactly know the details of when or where she’s going to return, but UFC president Dana White on Sunday guaranteed that she will fight for the title when she does come back to the Octagon.
“(Rousey) is definitely part of the discussion (to fight at UFC 205 in New York in November) and she will fight whoever has that belt when she comes back,” White said on ESPN’s Beadle and Shelburne show.
“I think Miesha, she’s fighting on (UFC) 200. She might fight again before (New York). She wants to fight. We’ll see what happens. Miesha has been the No. 2 baddest woman in the world for years. For her to stay active right now, makes sense.”
Tate fighting Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 in July already throws the door wide open as to whom Rousey might face when she returns, as the top of the division is crowded. Tate opted to skip an immediate rematch with Holly Holm, whom she defeated for the belt, in order to face Nunes. Holm is the one who upset Rousey last November, so there’s already pent up interest there, as well.
“What’s cool about that 135-pound division is everybody is fighting right now. The only one who isn’t fighting right now is Holly. Miesha, depending on how she fights Nunes – who is very, very tough – if anything crazy happens and she came out of that fight with a quick win and 100-percent healthy, she could turn around and fight again and then fight Ronda.”

Dana White says Rose Namajunas needs another 'fight or 2' before next title shot

Pump the brakes on rushing to declare Rose Namajunas as No. 1 contender in the UFC strawweight division following her victory over Tecia Torres this past Saturday at UFC on FOX 19.

Namajunas (5-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) earned her third consecutive victory in a FOX-televised co-headliner at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., topping the previously unbeaten Torres (7-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) by unanimous decision to avenge a July 2013 loss to “The Tiny Tornado” under the Invicta FC banner.

Although Namajunas has looked stellar of late while beating Torres, Paige VanZant and Angela Hill in consecutive contests, the discussion of her fighting for the title sooner than later could be a bit premature, according to UFC President Dana White.

Namajunas has already had a crack at UFC gold in her young career. The 23-year-old earned the chance to fight Carla Esparza for the inaugural 115-pound belt at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in December 2014, but lost via third-round submission.

White said neither he nor Namajunas are particularly eager to jump back into a title fight, especially with an experienced wrecking ball like Joanna Jedrzejczyk (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) holding the championship.

“I don’t know if Rose is too excited to rush in there for a title shot again,” White told ESPN following UFC on FOX 19. “She’s catching her stride. She looked good tonight. She seemed like she was loading up a lot and trying to knock her out with one punch instead of flowing like she did against Paige. But she’ll probably have a fight or two before a title shot.”

Namajunas said after UFC on FOX 19 that she plans to take some time off after recording her third UFC victory since October. Jedrzejczyk, meanwhile, is set to defend her belt in a rematch with Claudia Gadelha at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale on July 8 in Las Vegas.

Depending on the outcome of that fight, it’s possible Namajunas could be called upon for another championship opportunity sooner than expected. If Namajunas and White had their druthers, though, she would be given more time to develop and get some more fights under her belt.

^^ Due to timing she should get another fight anyways. 3 months till Joanna defends and both her and Claudia are prone to injury so they could get sidelined for 6 months or more.

The Queen has arrived.....

Couple more announcements coming this week. Adding another fight to the card & we are going to welcome someone new into the Invicta family.

wonder who they'll match her up with, carla / valerie?

According to the rumor mill, 5ft 10 LHW Hilary VanOrum is still campaigning to fight Gabi in Rizin. Hilary is 3-0 as an amateur

Cris defeated Hilary at the 2012 IBJJF

Paige did well this week, she scored 31/40

Interesting that Rose gets paid more than the other TUF'ers, glad she negotiated a good deal. I mean no disrespect but am I the only person who thinks Dana has changed his opinion of Rose since she cut her hair?

Glad Raquel is no longer on $10k/$10K

  • Rose Namajunas: $86,000 (includes $43,000 win bonus) def. Tecia Torres: $20,000
  • Raquel Pennington: $40,000 (includes $20,000 win bonus) def. Bethe Correia: $25,000

bethecorreia Even though I respect the opinion of the referees, and I respect my opponent, I honestly thought I won that fight and still believe so. So I firstly leave my career in the hands of God and secondly in my persistence be a better fighter! I believe in UFC and I hope I can have a rematch soon to erase any doubts. I'll come back stronger! Oss! @UFC

I could be wrong and pardon me if I am, but isn't Pancrase  shown on Fightpass?

Wonder how many bantamweights are left. Kaufman is out, and Jessica Andrade and Liz Carmouche are dropping to 115 lbs. Phone Post 3.0

Yep Pancrase airs live on Fight Pass.

They have also started to add the 90's Pancrase fights to the library that will eventually have all Pancrase fights.

Interesting fight

valerietroubleletourneau With all Respect to Rose, I've never called anyone out, but there is always an exception. After watching the fight between Rose and Tecia, I want to say congrats to Rose. That was a great fight between you two. But, if you want a good test prior to having a potential fight with Joana or Claudia, let me offer my services. I'm sure our fans would be excited for this fight. I don't mind waiting... At this moment, there is no oth

I thought the fight was a draw. Training at AKA has definitely benefitted Bethe, the improvements to her game are noticeable and physically she looks really good.
