Listening to the JRE with Miesha and thinking of UFC 200, Im wondering if she'll even get PPV points from that one.

I remember Henderson complaining he didn't get any in UFC 100 because the PPV slots were already filled (with Brock, Mir and GSP I pressume), cut to UFC 200 and both Cormier and Jones are getting PPVs. Add Aldo and maybe Edgar, and she is out of cupcakes.

Why would you think Aldo or Edgar are getting PPV points? None of them are the champion. They are not even fighting for a real championship. The UFC is not going to be giving PPV points to people like they are candy. Aldo and Edgar are basically in a glorified number 1 contender fight.

Impressive performance by @criscyborg tonight!! What a powerful woman! Congrats on making 139lbs! 4 more and we can have a title fight!

I'm confused, Miesha stated several times she would fight Cris at 140 now she wants Cris to drop to 135...sounds like Deja vu...

'Rowdy' Bec Rawlings‏ @RowdyBec

Leslie was trying to roll out of it, she never stopped fighting, she wasn't out. BULLSHIT STOPPAGE!! #UFC198

Ok, yes @criscyborg was winning, but @LeslieSmith_GF was still in it...@ufc

Keywords from miesha are, "title fight"

It's hard to fight for a 135lbs title at 139lbs

Why are you confused?   She now holds the title.

Phill999

Miesha was the champion a few weeks ago when she said she would fight Cris at Catchweight. Cris said in her post fight interview she would only do catch weights so an interesting tweet in my opinion.

Are you insinuation that Miesha is scared now?

Maybe Miesha got the message from the UFC that they don't allow their champs to fight catchweight fights.

I seem to recall Giovani Decker from the UFC stating that very thing. Phone Post 3.0

Judnoob

I am insinuating that Miesha is changing her tune

Please post the statement from Giovani  that the UFC dont allow their champions to do catchweight. I want to see if that is the same statement where Dana said he was open to a catchweight if Ronda asked him

I'm honestly drawing a blank on that one. Was it in EliteXC?

Haha Hate420, me too!

I am wondering if it was a Mauy Thai fight because off the top of my head I cannot remember an event advertising them both on the card

From what Cris has posted on social media, they are better as close friends then Husband and Wife. They appear to be supportive of each other and Cris has hosted seminars with Evangelista at his gym. When I rasied the topic of Invicta FW Latoya Wlaker (a potential opponent for Cris)being trained by Evangelista, Cris responded that he would never train anyone against her.

They mentioned on the Bellator broadcast while Evangelista was walking out that it was on the night that Cyborg fought Gina Carano. Phone Post 3.0

yabadaba

Saying she would do it and saying she is going to pursue it are two different things.

Meisha is on record saying she thinks she would probably lose to Cyborg at 140. Unless she cleans out 135 and has nobody left to fight I don't see her pursuing a fight with Cyborg at 140.

Yabadaba,

I appreciate your response but when Cris and Ronda where going back and forth, Miesha injected herself in my opinion to "one up" Ronda by saying she would fight Cris at 140. A few weeks ago, Miesha said something along the lines of a fight with Cris at 140 will be good for her legacy. However, fast forward to yesterday, Miesha is saying Cris should drop down to 135 for a title fight. I need to watch it again but I do not recall Cris saying anything about wanting to fight for the BW title in her post fight speech  and Miesha didnt respond when Cris posted below

Cris Cyborg ‏@criscyborg  8h8 hours ago

.@MieshaTate I have a world title. You know I'm world champion. Thank you for the support

In my opnion actively pursue it and if the UFC say no then fair enough but in my opinion it is bizarre that Miesha is  pretty much saying what Ronda said and wants the fight on her terms yet  if I am not mistaken, accused Ronda of ducking Cris

Hey Hate420

Now I am really confused because I  just looked at the Cyborg vs Carano fight card and Evangelista is not listed as fighting that night

From one GOAT to another

CongratZ still a beast and respect for making the weight! Leslie Smith take the loss it was definitely right From the referee!

Yeah, I looked as well before posting. Figured I'd at least come with the facts, but I was even more confused. I'm guessing possibly a Muay Thai fight? Phone Post 3.0

Man I am so happy for right now. This must be so amazing for her. Seriously smiling from ear to ear.

Let so and I'm looking forward to and fighting tonight! So happy cyborg is in the UFC now!

Shannon Knapp is bringing Invicta Fighting Championships back to Las Vegas this summer, as Invicta FC 18 is set to be part of this year's International Fight Week festivities. The announcement was made recently on Invicta FC Radio.

The promotion has three events planned for the remainder of 2016. Invicta FC 18 hits Las Vegas in July, Invicta FC 19 is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 23, and Invicta FC 20 caps the year with a show on Nov. 18. Host cities have not yet been revealed for Invicta FC 19 and 20.

What can fans look forward to at International Fight Week? The Invicta FC fights will be part of a great week of combat sports action. The week, which kick offs July 5 in Las Vegas, features a UFC Fight Night event on July 7, the "TUF 23 Finale" on July 8 and the historic UFC 200 pay-per-view spectacular on July 9.

At present time, it's unclear exactly where Invicta FC 18 fits into the schedule. Since nothing is currently scheduled for the opening couple days of International Fight Week 2016, perhaps Invicta FC 18 will end up being held on July 5 or 6.

Because if people like Eddie Alvarez and Giblert Melendez can get PPV points without being champions I would think at least Aldo has them too. Unless he has a sh*ttier manager than Eddie wich is also totally possible.

I am am going to assume that Jennifer will be defending her interim belt at Invicta FC 18

will it be against Roxanne? Or will the number one contender be determined after a fight between Roxanne and Sarah D'Alelio?

Sidenote- Jennifer is Cris Cyborg's Chute Boxe teammate and Jennifer was defeated by Leslie. One can conclude there is a similarity to Ronda defeating Bethe after Bethe defeated her teammates   scenario :)

Jennifer did attend UFC 198 and was supporting her teammate

I like this fight too

Ray

I appreciate that is the direction Invicta are heading with their promotion of Megan and I want her to face Cris because of her disrespectful comments but Megan with respect, has absolutely nothing for the Cris we saw on Saturday. James Krause who trains Megan at the Glory gym mentioned nothing about his fighter while commenting on the UFC 198 fight on Twitter but he mentioned wanting to Cris vs Holly.

Megan looked good against a very game  1-0 Amber Leibrock and 3-3 Amanda Bell( who I hope gets the opportunity to train with Cris or attend Pink Belt. I doubt they will ever fight and Amanda has always been respectful to Cris  but with respect if Amanda can tighten and tidy her style she will be a problem at 145. I am sure Amanda has great training partners but in my opinion and with respect being around and learning from a dominant world champion will elevate her game not just physically but in my opinion, mentally too) but she didn't appear to have much respect for the experienced Cindy Dandois and the fight didn't end well for her. In my opinion, Tweet will be a great test of how she will do against an experience fighter with MT style.

Anderson vs Tweet makes a lot of sense as a #1 contender match IMO.

Exclusive: Sunna Davidsdottir talks about signing to Invicta and training with McGregorExclusive: Sunna Davidsdottir talks about signing to Invicta and training with McGregor

When people think of talented MMA fighters from Iceland the name Gunnar Nelson generally springs to mind, but the new name on everyone’s lips is female fighter Sunna Davidsdottir who has recently signed with Invitca FC. Sunna is the 2015 – IMMAF European Amateur Flyweight Champion as well as a three time Icelandic BJJ champion.
Sunna will also become the first ever female Icelandic fighter to go professional, but how did Sunna`s journey begin?

`I have trained all kinds of sports since I was a kid. Football, Ice hockey, track & field, … even pole fitness. But it took about 3 seconds from when I entered a combat gym for the first time for me to fall in love with it. The primary reason for why I started in martial arts was because I felt that I needed to be able to defend myself.

I was working late nights in bars and and driving a cab at the time and I needed to be ready for anything that could happen. I did not realize however how much I would love it. I started off in Muay Thai but from there on I just went on to add various other combat sports to the mix. I am predominantly a striker but I feel very comfortable on the ground. I have a purple belt in BJJ and I aim to continue that journey along with improving my striking game`.

Sunna will also become the first Icelandic fighter to go professional and she is hoping it will open the door for more Icelandic females to also get their chance.

It feels surreal. I´ve been visualizing and dreaming about this for such a long time. Being the first Icelandic woman to take this step fills me with great pride and hopefully this can be a platform for other Viking women to follow. I have watched Invicta quite closely over the years. Chris Cyborg is probably my favorite female fighter in the world right now.

My friend Joanne “ JoJo” Calderwood who now is a UFC fighter used be signed with Invicta and she has praised the federation very highly. She feels that they treat their athletes very well and she looks back on her Invicta days with great pride and fulfilment. I could not possibly be happier at the moment and as they say, a happy fighter is a dangerous fighter`

Sunna fights out of the highly ranked Mjolnir gym in Iceland where she trains regularly with UFC welterweight Gunnar Nelson and occasionally UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Sunna has relished training with the best in the world.

`I love it and feel grateful every day for being able to train with such elite fighters at Mjölnir MMA, the biggest MMA gym in Iceland and probably one of the biggest combat gym´s in the world. Gunnar has been a huge influence on me for most of my fighting career. He is a dear friend to me and has always been there for me to give advise and help out patching the holes in my game.

Conor McGregor, John Kavanagh and the Irish boys from SBG are always a blast and when they visit us or we visit them we usually the best training sessions possible. Recently retired UFC veteran Paddy Hoolohan has been a really great training partner for me. He is a tricky fighter, with a wealth of knowledge that he does not hold back on. On top of that he is a wonderful human being and a great friend`

All eyes of the MMA world were focused on Mjolnir recently when Conor McGregor refused to fulfill media obligations preferring to stay in Iceland and train. Sunna trained with McGregor on a daily basis and Sunna believes McGregor made the right decision.

`In training he is just the same old Conor. Focused, motivated and a really hard worker. Conor McGregor is as true a fighter as they come. A supremely talented athlete and big inspiration to me and all the others who have had the chance to train and work with him.
