Anyone who claimed Faith had a chance against Cris was either trolling or delusional.  The same applies to anyone who claims Bethe has a chance against Ronda.

Correia at least has some muscles (and an ass) on her. Faith is very unathletic looking person.

Let's see Faith Van Duin vs Marina "the glass jaw from Moldova" Shafir. Phone Post 3.0

Faith looks very nice.

Talking up Cyborgs opponents must be a tough job; respect.

Here is some cool insight to our story and how we came to be an

When Tate humbly walked into Caraway’s fight club at Central Washington University some nine years ago, he admits he wasn’t so sure about his future girlfriend’s toughness. It didn’t take long for Tate to obliterate that first impression and convince Caraway that he was dealing with someone special. “We tried every day to push her and make her quit,” he says. “She didn’t quit. A year and a half later, I realized, man, this girl has been here every day, working hard. She’s tough as nails. She always wants to train very hard.”

A former high school wrestler, Tate was used to athletic competition but never considered herself much of a “fighter.” But after attending a few of Caraway’s bouts in 2006 and realizing what it would take to succeed in MMA, Tate decided to give it a go. “Miesha came down there and watched and saw how much of a sport it was, and she realized you don’t have to be angry or mad or have negative feelings to fight somebody,” says Caraway, who at the time was considered a top MMA prospect in the Pacific Northwest scene. “It’s a sport, just like wrestling.

“After one show, the promoter announced, ‘Hey, I’m looking to do an all-women’s show in another month or two. If any of you women out there want to fight, just come [and] sign up.’ Miesha went and signed herself up, but she didn’t tell any of us; she told me the next day.”

Tate would go on to show promise in a handful of amateur bouts, and along the way, she and Caraway—who served as her head coach—began a romance away from the gym. Soon after, they doubled down on their commitment in pursuit of their mutual MMA dreams: In short, they sacrificed everything—as in, Caraway gave up medical school aspirations, and the two moved into an RV.

Hey JustAnotherMMAFan,

At this point, Faith beats Marina. I wouldnt mind seeing Faith vs Charmaine Tweet, a fight that was cancelled because Charmaine wasnt cleared to fight or Megan Anderson a 4-1 Australian FW recently signed to Invicta who claimed she would beat both Faith and Cris

but after the fight she is now saying.....

@ChickfightsRock @radhs_ko @stephenjrivers no. To even suggest that my debut fight should be for #1 contender is disrespectful. If you've..

@ChickfightsRock @radhs_ko @stephenjrivers listened to my interviews I like to earn my position of #1 contender and i will do that by...
@ChickfightsRock @radhs_ko @stephenjrivers fighting everyone in the division and win as well as get that fighting experience. I don't see...
@ChickfightsRock @radhs_ko @stephenjrivers the point of have a fight, becoming 5-1 and then thrown to cyborg. I will fight her but it will..
@ChickfightsRock @radhs_ko @stephenjrivers be when I'm ready and when I've earned that fight, not just had 1 fight with the promotion.

Megan

FOX Force Five,

I dont recall saying anything disrespectful about Faith before the fight so I am not sure why you are assuming that I am "talking her up"

Joanne Calderwood vs last minute replacement Courtney Casey 4-1 on Saturday what say you?

It appears as though Bellator execs read this thread!  Looks like they have started up a 125lb division. First fight tomorrow night- nice way to capitalize. If Bellator can get this division up and running, in my opinion, several fighters will jump ship from Invicta to Bellator

weigh-ins: Kaline Medeiros (124.25) vs. Sarah Payant (128.5 - 2 hours to make weight)

Kaline"The Dark Angel" Medeiros 4-4

Sara "Soulja"Payant 1-0

Anyone beats Shafir at this point. She's likely the least skilled fighter in the division.

JustAnotherMMAFan,

If Marina makes the decision to continue with MMA, In my opinion she should face either Peggy Morgan, Andria Wawro or Fiona Muxlow. Muxlow excused herself from MMA after her loss to Cris so I am not sure if she is has returned to fighting or is even still signed to Invicta

Peggy 3-3

Andria 3-2

Fiona 6-3

JustAnotherMMAFan,

Cris Cyborg's push kick is a thing of beauty :)

Ronda's friend LayzieTheSavage interviewing Cris after her win on the 9th-please click the link to watch the video. If Cris and Ronda became friends after they fought, that would be awesome :)

No, I don’t hate her. I just want to make money, to promote the fight. I dont like speaking bad things. Her style I respect, I dont hate her. I think everything’s professional… For sure, after the fight I can say hi, talk to her, I don’t have any problems with her.

Sometimes if you talk about family, I think that’s no good. But just to make the fight happen, I think it’s OK.”

In her latest interview with BJPENN.COM’s Layzie The Savage, Invicta FC champion Cris Cyborg talked about her longtime rivalry with UFC champion Ronda Rousey.

Is a friendship on the horizon?

Personally I think Shafir should drop to 135.

I honestly think that no one wanted her to move to 135 because they thought that she would be the Ronda of 145, beating Cyborg and bringing featherweights to UFC. It's not happening though.

145 has too much knockout power in it right now. Don't get me wrong, a lot of those girls are sloppy and not very technical in their striking, but they have power to make up for it and power that Shafir couldn't handle.

I only think Shafir would need to cut a few more lbs of walk around weight in order to make the cut. She was a lot smaller than Leibrock and she's about the same size as Ronda.

Sunkist1207 -

Congratulations to Ronda for winning her ESPYs awards. Several people have commented on Twitter that Serena Williams should have won for best Athlete and in my opinion, she should have. What say you?

Many fans on Twitter commented that Ronda's ESPY wins are great for WMMA.  The wins are a huge acheivement for Ronda but I am not sure how that will have an impact on WMMA. I have said this several times and with respect, WMMA in the UFC has only benefitted two parties, the UFC and Ronda.

I mean no disrespect by bringing this up but Many people are saying that Ronda is being hypocritical for her comments towards Floyd Mayweather but she posted the picture below a few days ago.  We all know that  Mike was convicted and sentenced to prison for Rape but also said this in his Autobiography -

Excerpts of the book provided by its publisher, Warner Books Inc., included Tyson's recollection of the best punch he ever threw.

"It was when I fought Robin in Steve Lott's apartment. She really offended me and I went BAM. She flew backwards, hitting every wall in the apartment," Tyson recalled. "That was the best punch I've ever thrown in my entire life."

Tyson also details a sadistic viewpoint on sex. "I like to hurt women when I make love to them. . . . It gives me pleasure," Torres quotes Tyson as saying.

Sunkist I'm normally a fan of your post, even don't mind the fact that you're a Cyborg fanboy; but this reeks of some serious hateration (can't believe Mary made that a word).

Being a black male that played tennis in high school for years I understand how hard tennis is and appreciate the sport.  I apprceiate what Serena has gone through being a muscular black female in the sport.  And Serena has had a hell of a year: but unforunately she wasn't going to win this year.  If the ESPY's were in a month I think Serena wins but the fact that she won so close to the event is what cost her the chance to win.  (I voted for Ronda weeks before).

Now on to the second point; Ronda is great for women's MMA because women's MMA is at least being covered on a platform such as ESPN.  Every sport needs that one STAR to blaze a trail for others to follow. Would Jordan have a chance to be an NBA Owner if it wasn't for Magic and Bird saving the NBA in the 80s? No.  They were tape delaying the NBA finals for christ sake.  And it took a few years for the next transendant star to arrive in Michael Jordan.  WMMA needs time for that next star to arrive and the sooner others realize that the less bitching I'll have to hear.  The fact that women are even at the table right now is a positive so lets not belittle it.

Third and here is where my biggest problem is: In today's 24/7 social media age everything is under a microscope and digested before the everything can actually put on the plate.  Ronda did an interview last night giving her explaination as to why she is crictical of Mayweather but not of Tyson; and its one that most can agree on.  Ask anyone older than lets say 45 whats the first thing that comes to mind when they think of Tyson.  Bet you'll get "great boxer" "youngest champion"  "incredible head movement" etc.  Ask anyone older than 35 and you might get "rapist" "woman beater" and "ear biter"  Ask anyone my age (29) and you get "KO Power" "Baddest man on the planet" and "DX/WWE".  Now ask anyone younger than that.  Guess what you get "Hangover/phill collins" "cartoon"  "face tattoo" and "funny"

Do you see how the narrative on Tyson has changed in 25+ years?  What Ronda said was Tyson was the first guy to own up to his shit; and look to better himself.  While me might not truly know the man in his everyday life he has done everything he can in the last 10 years to give himself a better image and its something I can respect.  The same with Chris Brown.  The man in the last 2 years has done nothing but live his life and very recently is trying everything to be a great father.  Floyd has not done that and thats her beef with him.

I could on about how "certain" celebrities can seem to get out of the shadows of their public downfalls while others can't but this isn't the forum for such.

First of all, thank you for appreciating my posts here. I also find you to be very entertaining. I was reading your commentary in the Invicta FC 13 thread and some of your one liners were pure gold.  Pardon me for assuming but I thnk you may have partaken in the consumption of a few happy beverages? :)

If you don’t mind me asking, who am I showing hatred towards? Me saying that Serena should have won best Athlete over Ronda Rousey is a personal opinion and I indicated that in my response earlier. Ronda is an exceptional athlete and as a woman in MMA she has achieved more than what most have and that is a beautiful thing but your response isn’t answering why winning an ESPY will benefit  WMMA as a division and not just Ronda. WMMA has been in the UFC for the last two years but the only name people associate this with is Ronda and why is that? If the UFC were really invested in WMMA why not give all the female fighters the same platform and UFC PR machine and see what they can do as opposed to just the "UFC Marketable" fighters.  WMMA in the UFC in my opinion has only benefited Ronda and the UFC and I gave examples of why I have this opinion in the response to Steve4192

I watched the interview and Media scrum that Ronda took part in and she said something along the lines of she made that comment towards Floyd because he said a year ago that he didn’t know who she was.

I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” Rousey said. “I’d like to see you pretend to not know who I am now.”

Following the dis, MMAjunkie and other reporters caught up with Rousey to discuss the ESPYs, where she also scored a bit of an upset in winning “Best Female Athlete,” and her long-awaited opportunity to call out Mayweather. After all, Rousey said Mayweather started the rivalry a year ago when he claimed he didn’t know who “he” – Rousey – was.

“I know for damn sure he knew who I was,” Rousey said. “He was running against me for ‘Best Fighter’ that year and he had signed MMA fighters, so his feigned ignorance was meant to really be a snarky remark to me. …

“I don’t let those kind of things slide, but I’m also a patient girl. I’m not the kind of chick you make snarky remarks about. I waited a whole year to say something. And you know what? If I didn’t win ‘Best Fighter’ this year, I would have waited two years or three years.”

And the timing of it all?

“It got a big reaction, and I’ve got a fight to sell,” she said with a laugh. “So great timing, huh? I’m not dumb.”http://mmajunkie.com/2015/07/this-is-why-ronda-rousey-dissed-floyd-mayweather-jr-at-the-espys

Ronda said that Tyson has owned up to what he did and tried to life his life on the straight path . I have friends who would disagree with that after attending to his one man show and reading his Autobiography and finding that he was rather unapologetic for his previous behavior. That is beside the point. In my opinion everyone should be given a second chance if they can prove that they are truly repent for what they did wrong. I didn’t offer a personal opinion on the Floyd/Tyson situation, if you read my response I am bringing a conversation piece to the party. What I did say is that Ronda has no problem forgiving Tyson for his transgressions which are way more serious than one failed PED test but is constantantly using her platform to be disrespectful towards Cris. That is the hypocrisy that I do not understand
