why not hav a ufc sponsred traing camp/program for all refs?
refs would go thru formal, centralized training, then go get certified by athletic commissions.
if person can pass specialized ref training, then they can ref in events.
tho somehow i think the douchebag athletic commisions do not want to solve these issues, out of fear that their corruption might be artificially limited.

Yes women do fight and train but this is a mans sport. To add to what someone else said, most of these women DO NOT have 15 years in the sport and are a product of nepotism just like 95% of the women on the football field sidelines giving the play by plays. I would never try and get a job somewhere just to even the playing field when I had no business being there and under qualified. Stuff like affirmative action in this day and age have jumped the shark and its time we all realized our place. Women have no business refereeing two men fighting.

I have spoken out against a few male refs too. To be a ref u need to be an authoritative figure in my opinion and opinions are like assholes, we all have them.
Note: This post was in no means meant to be disrespectful to women although I am sure it may come off as that. I just believe men and women are each unique in their own way and some things men are meant to do and some things women are meant to do. If u asked me who should be judging in womens figure skating I would tell u a woman. Not the best analogy but I dont want to come off as a total chauvinist pig on here. Just feel real strongly that in a sport as dangerous as MMA there should not be a woman keeping the rules intact when two men are trying to kill each other in a small ring.

No, its not about Lavigne being able to man-handle a berserk Carwin(Miragliotta), its about boxing and now MMA having clueless female judges(I dont know if boxing actual lets women ref title fights) who do not have the experience their male counterparts do, on top of the physicality the job calls for.
But its easier to hide behind the fantasy of defending equality than to recognize that no woman firefighter can carry a 240lb load of a man out of a building.
BTW, make sure you hire a 240lb dude with a shaved head when its time to find a sitter for your kids, you wouldnt want to discriminate(aka use basic reason and common sense)
