WTF is this crap? Putting Mario on the spot Joe?

Pink Bunkadoo -
greg155 - the refs should have to answer for their shitty calls

Just because you dont like a call doesn't mean it's a shitty call. You and joe were/are wrong. Deal Phone Post

No- people don't like the call because the call was wrong. Silly billy. Phone Post

this tread is full of cunty cunts

Good work, Joe. That was pathetic reffing.
Cost me $$ too. But nothing compared to Silva's loss. Phone Post

I think joe forgets he's just a commentator,i like joe buy this was pretty harsh considering mario is one of the better refs out there.plus when i watched the fight in real time as it happened i said to my wife 'he better watch the back of the head'. Perhaps it looked worse in the heat of the moment for mario? Phone Post

It really was a bullshit call. Carlos complained that the shots were to the back of the head so Yamasucki calls it a DQ -after the fact. If he was intentially trying to prevent the head shots, Yamasucki shouldve stopped him and taken a point from Silva way earlier. It looked like a legit stoppage to me.
Yes, some blows glanced the back of his head but let's be real, he took way more damage from Silva in the volume of blows that weren't to the back of the head.
I think Joe called it absolutely right. Eric Silva was robbed. Period. Watch it again. It looked just as legit as any other ref stoppage where maybe 2 of 10-12 punches glance the back of the head. The refs always warn fighters not to hit the back of the head, but calling the stoppage way after the head blows and after the other fighter complains....is bullshit.
Good job Joe Rogan. Phone Post

I rather him do that than tow the party line and try to be politically correct Phone Post

Yamasaki fucked that kid out of his win bonus. Joe was correct.

Brigham - It was awesome. Ever ref should be put on the spot after their bullshit decisions <img src="/images/phone/apple.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Whether or not Yamasaki was right or wrong is irrelevant, it was a completely unprofessional move by Rogan. Phone Post

It was unprofessional at best, an ambush at worst. At least joe apologized I hope Mario heard the same face to face.

It was the most professional thing ever done in sports. Joe Rogan is fantastic. That poor little Silva boy had the best moment of his life turned into a 'meh' kind of moment (while Vitor can punch back o' heads all day, with no objections), and Joe was all, I think Mario made a mistake, and you guys are all "Rawwwrr! Fire this monster!" Stop being stupid, angry women. I loved it. I ate popcorn and drank grape soda, and was smiling the whole time. Rogan for non-fired president of the world of all times! Phone Post

Doobles.

Tankhead - It was unprofessional at best, an ambush at worst. At least joe apologized I hope Mario heard the same face to face.

Nothing major here. Some people are sooks! Phone Post

Judges bs scoring should be next to be put on blast. Phone Post

The whole thing was confusing, why didn't he just take a point? I don't even think he should have done that, the whole thing was so unprofessional, Phone Post

Joe made the UFC look like a blame game. I like Rogan but he can put his foot in his mouth sometimes and thats what he did here. Made not only himself look bad, but the entire organization.

He chose the wrong decision to call someone out on.

There is a thing called professionalism and I think Rogan had a brain fart here.

He's my favorite commentator, but he should stay out of the MMA politics during the live events. There is a place and time for everything, and that was neither the correct place or time.

ActuallyAn06er - No, it's justified. Refs and judges *consistently* do stupid shit, and this might be the absolute worst call in the history of the UFC. Commissions refuse to do anything about it? Well they should face the heat in front of the public

. Phone Post

Yeah awkward but joe was just saying what everybody could see... Ref made a mistake that happens sometimes... Phone Post

Every ref should be accountable for his/her actions. Good choice by Hogan. Phone Post

The worst about it is that Joe was actually wrong about the rule. The "mohawk" definition of back to the head was publicly rejected a couple of years ago by NSAC in an incident that involved John McCarthy.
